Higher Education Consortium

A New Approach to Higher Education Research

Corona understands the many information needs of higher education institutions, and the limited resources available to get that information. Corona has created the Higher Education Consortium to address this challenge by providing quality research at only a fraction of the price.

How does it work? Corona simultaneously partners with multiple schools in one state to conduct research. Schools’ resources are combined to share in the cost of the market research while still providing detailed findings custom to each partner school. Each school gets a comprehensive study to inform their marketing for far less than commissioning its own research.

Currently, Corona Insights is looking for partner schools in Missouri looking to gain knowledge on their prospective students. The goals of this research are to develop an understanding of how students view different colleges and universities in Missouri; identify competitive relationships between Missouri colleges and universities; and identify regional differences within the state between colleges and universities.

Each school that participates will get a custom report describing how their school ranks in many attributes such as:

  • Top of mind awareness of the school
  • Ranking on over twenty characteristics including best degree programs, social opportunities, perceived value, and many others
  • Head to head competition among schools (schools that are being considered along with your school
  • Additional segmentation by region and demographics

Our initial study of in-state prospective traditional students will be Phase One of a multi-year research effort aimed at understanding different audiences of prospective Missouri college students. Future years will focus on student and prospective student demographics, surveys of influencers such as parents and counselors, non-traditional prospective student demographics and in-depth opinions, minority student demographics and in-depth opinions, and prospective students in adjacent states.

These reports will not be made available publicly and will be available only to consortium members.
